I'm both pleased and a little sad to report that Nolan rolled over for the first time earlier this week. The funny thing is that he went from not having any interest in lifting his head when on his stomach one day to lifting it really high and then rolling over the next. Weird...but he did it 5 times in a row, so it was more than just a fluke. Here are some pictures of the big event.

Here's Bailey so proud of her little brother!

I say it's a little sad because every new milestone just means he's growing up. I don't think I felt like this with Bailey, but I think these feelings of sadness stem from the fact that this is probably the last baby for the Cox family. It's hard for me to keep those "the last time..." thoughts at bay.
I also think he's on the verge of laughing. At this point he just makes some louder shreiky noises (I make up my own words to convey my points, if you haven't already noticed), but I think those will eventually become laughs in a few weeks. And, with a mom like me, what baby wouldn't find reason to laugh?
Here is a funny picture of Jason trying to flex Nolan's "muscles" for the camera. Instead of no pants, this week we switched it up a bit and decided to take pictures with no shirt. :-)

Bailey had a hard week, as she faced round #2 of her cold. We've had some tough nights as she's had a hard time sleeping with her cough and stuffy nose. I finally took her to the doctor on Saturday because both of her eyes were pretty red. I feared pink eye, and I know how contagious that is. The dr. said it is bronchitis and she also has an ear infection (who knew?), but that her eyes were just yucky because of the sickness. So, we left with eye drops and 2 prescriptions. Unfortunately, no Walgreen's in America had one of them (okay, not really, but I had them call about 4 locations before I got frustrated and left) so we'll have to struggle through until Monday. Fortunately, we have the antibiotic, so hopefully that will get her started on the road to recovery. Here is a pic of her watery eyes and super red upper lip from all the lovely snot.
Here is a picture of Bailey sleeping with her head propped up in the t.v. room at about 11:00 a.m. after she had been up several times in the night. Why is it that she can sleep now, while the rest of us are up, but not during the night when we're all trying to sleep? Fortunately, Nolan slept that morning until after 9:00 a.m. so Jason and I were able to get some rest. We didn't make it to church so hopefully we'll all be okay by next week.
Pray that none of the rest of us catch it.
Finally, here is a picture of both the kids sleeping in the car. No reason, it's just cute.
